The Malone University men's tennis team collected a 9-0 victory over Misericordia University (PA) on Friday in the Pioneers' final match during its Hilton Head, South Carolina spring break trip.
With the non-conference win, Malone improved to 2-7 overall on the 2013-14 campaign while Misericordia dropped to 2-6 overall.
In singles, four Pioneers,
Youssef ElSonbaty, at #1,
Trevor Bowers, at #2,
Puneet Sharma, at #4, and
Vladyslav Dyenyezhka, at #6, all earned perfect 8-0 wins in their matches.
In doubles, ElSonbaty and Sharma, at #1, also pocketed a perfect 8-0 victory.
Malone will next compete in an away match at GLIAC opponent Lake Erie College on March 21st.
