Match Results

The Malone University men's tennis team lost a GLIAC match at Ferris State University (MI) on Saturday by the score of 9-0.

With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 3-9 overall on the year and to 1-4 in GLIAC play while the Bulldogs improved to 7-12 and to 6-2 in the conference.

For Malone, Youssef ElSonbaty won the most games, with five, in his loss at #1 singles by the score of 6-2, 6-3.  Steffan Dwarkasingh, at #2 singles, and Brett Krejci, at #6 singles, each collected three game wins.

In doubles, ElSonbaty and Puneet Sharma earned two game wins in their 8-2 loss at #1 doubles.

Malone will next compete in another conference road match tomorrow (Sunday), at Grand Valley State University (MI) at 7:30 a.m. (Note: match was changed from an original 10:00 a.m. start time).
