Match Results

The Malone University men's tennis team posted a convincing 9-0 conference victory on the road Friday defeating GLIAC foe Lake Erie College.  

With the win, the Pioneers improved to 3-7 overall on the 2013-14 year and to 1-2 in GLIAC play while the Storm fell to 0-4 overall and to 0-3 in the conference.

For the Pioneers, all but one of the squad's victories came in straight sets with the most convincing Malone singles wins coming at #1 (6-1, 6-0) by Youssef ElSonbaty, at #2 (6-0, 6-1) by Trevor Bowers and at #6 (6-1, 6-1) by Vladyslav Dyenyezhka.

In doubles, the #2 squad of Bowers and Steffan Dwarkasingh and the #3 unit of Andrew Hill and Brett Krejci each posted solid 8-2 wins.

Malone will next compete in a home match tomorrow (Saturday) against Walsh University at the Green Tennis Club in Green, Ohio in a 5:00 p.m. match.
