Match Results

The Malone University men's tennis team competed against an excellent Michigan Tech University squad at home on Saturday at the Green Tennis Club in Green, Ohio but came up short in an 8-1 loss to the visiting Huskies.

With the loss, Malone dropped to 0-5 overall and to 0-2 in the GLIAC while MTU improved to 4-0 overall and to 2-0 in GLIAC play.

For Malone, Youssef ElSonbaty battled to a 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 win at #1 singles which proved to be the Pioneers' only match win of the evening.  Steffan Dwarkasingh, at #2 singles, and Vladyslav Dyenyezhka, at #5 singles, collected five game wins each in their respective matches.

Malone will next compete in another home match on Friday (Feb. 28th) at 12:00 p.m. against non-conference opponent Franciscan University.
