Findlay has won each of the four previous meetings with Malone.  The two schools, both former NAIA members, first met in an NAIA playoff game at Findlay on December 2, 1995 – a contest the Oilers won 15-7.  Findlay then tallied a 13-10 regular-season victory in Canton on October 5, 1996.  Since the series was renewed in 2012, the Oilers have registered wins of 38-14 (at Findlay in 2012) and 35-21 (at Fawcett last fall).

Coaches:
MaloneEric Hehman is in his fifth season as the Pioneers' head coach and has tallied an 11-40 record at Malone.  Prior to arriving in Canton, Hehman spent the previous five years as the head coach at NCAA Division III Greenville (IL) College where he led the Panthers to a 28-22 record and a berth in the 2009 NCCAA Victory Bowl.
FindlayRob Keys is now in his fourth season as the Oilers head coach and has guided UF to a 25-16 overall record.  Keys previously served as an assistant coach for the Oilers from 2000-04.  He then held assistant coaching positions at Indiana State Univ., Slippery Rock (PA) University, and the Univ. of New Hampshire before returning to Findlay to become the Oilers' head coach.

Last Season's Records: Malone 2-9 (1-8 GLIAC), Findlay 8-3 (6-3 GLIAC)

Malone Notes: The Pioneers suffered a 35-16 defeat at Urbana University this past Saturday… After falling behind early, Malone cut the deficit to 21-16 near the start of the fourth quarter on 30-yard field goal…However, that was as close as the Pioneers would get as Urbana tacked on a pair of TDs to put the contest out of reach…Malone registered 349 total yards and 19 first downs during the contest but also had three costly turnovers and a season-high 14 penalties, totaling 161 yards… The Malone defense recovered a fumble on Saturday and now has 12 fumble recoveries on the season, the second most in the GLIAC.

Findlay Notes: The Oilers opened the year with three straight victories, but have since lost five of their last six games, including a tough 43-10 home loss to Wayne State (MI) University last Saturday… The Warriors outscored Findlay 28-3 over the final two quarters to pull away for the victory…The Oilers committed five turnovers in the game and were held to a season-low 267 total yards…Despite the setback, Findlay still ranks fourth in the GLIAC in both points scored (34.7) and total yards (451.2 average)…The Oilers are also ranked second in the conference in passing with an average of 279.1 yards through the air per contest.
