She tallied a game-high 24 points in a 64-56 win at Lake Erie on Thursday before registering 18 points and five boards during a 70-53 triumph at Ashland on Saturday. With the victory over the Eagles, the Pioneers moved into a tie for first in the GLIAC South Division standings while also snapping Ashland's16-game home regular-season winning streak against GLIAC South opponents.
The honor marks the second time this season and the fourth time in her two-year Malone career that Simmers has earned the GLIAC Player of the Week distinction.
Malone, currently 11-5 overall, returns to action on Thursday at home with a 6:00 p.m. contest against Tiffin University.
