Match Results

Competing in a GLIAC match against local rival Walsh University on the Cavaliers' home courts, the Malone University men's tennis team lost a hard-fought 6-3 decision to their hosts on Tuesday. With the loss, the Pioneers fell to 8-15 overall on the season and to 1-8 in the GLIAC. Walsh improved to 5-13 overall and to 1-7 in GLIAC play.

Nate Davis picked up the Pioneers' only singles win of the day in a straight-set 6-2, 6-1 victory at #2 singles. In addition, Davis and partner Youssef ElSonbaty earned a difficult 9-8 win at #1 doubles.  

The Pioneers' other win came in an 8-6 #3 doubles victory tallied by Steffan Dwarkasingh and Alex Steinmetz.

Malone will close out its 2013 regular season by hosting two matches this weekend - the first coming against Northwood University (MI) on Saturday in a 12:00 p.m. contest.
