All-GLIAC Men's Tennis Team release
Two members of the Malone University men's tennis team earned postseason honors from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference as announced yesterday in a GLIAC release. Freshman
Youssef ElSonbaty was named to the All-GLIAC Second Team while senior
Nate Davis received Honorable Mention accolades.
ElSonbaty and Davis, playing at #1 and #2 singles, respectively, this year, led the team in singles winning percentage as both posted singles marks of 14-11. In addition, ElSonbaty tallied a 4-7 GLIAC record while Davis notched a 2-9 conference mark.
In doubles, the two were partners at the #1 spot and racked up a team-best 14-11 doubles record (2-9 GLIAC).
In addition to his current GLIAC honor, Davis also earned an NCCAA Student Athlete of the Week honor in March.
Malone closed out its first season in the GLIAC with an overall record of 8-17 and a 1-10 mark in conference play.
