Pioneers Lose At College Of Wooster By Score Of 6-3

Alex Steinmetz, playing at #3 singles, lost 6-3, 6-2 as the Pioneers dropped a 6-3 decision to The College of Wooster Friday evening.


The Malone University men's tennis team earned three points in a match at the College of Wooster Friday evening but still came up short in a 6-3 loss to the Fighting Scots.  With the non-conference loss, Malone fell to 0-4 on the season and remained at 0-2 in GLIAC play while Wooster improved to 1-3 on the year.

Youssef ElSonbaty and Nate Davis, playing at #1 and #2 singles, respectively, each earned wins for the team as ElSonbaty posted a 6-0, 7-5 triumph and Davis notched a 6-4, 6-3 victory.

The duo also teamed to pocket a win at the #1 doubles position with an 8-6 win over their opponents.
