Series:       
Ohio Dominican holds a 5-1 advantage in the all-time series with Malone.  The Pioneers defeated the Panthers 39-32 in the first-ever contest between the two schools, held at ODU on Oct. 16, 2004.  Ohio Dominican then won four straight over Malone from 2005-2008.  After a three-year break, the series was renewed last year at Panther Field in Columbus, a game ODU won by a final score of 56-7.

Coaches:   
MaloneEric Hehman is in his fourth season as the Pioneers' head coach and has tallied a 10-31 record at Malone.  Prior to arriving in Canton, Hehman spent the previous five years as the head coach at NCAA Division III Greenville (IL) College where he led the Panthers to a 28-22 record and a berth in the 2009 NCCAA Victory Bowl.
Ohio DominicanBill Conley is now in his fourth season as the Panthers' head coach and has guided ODU to a 26-15 overall record, including 7-4 and 8-3 marks in each of the last two years. Prior to becoming Ohio Dominican's head coach, Conley completed two stints as an assistant at Ohio State University - from 1984-87 under Earl Bruce and then from 1992-2003 under John Cooper and Jim Tressel.

Malone Notes – The Pioneers fell at home to the University of Findlay this past Saturday by a final score of 35-21…After the Oilers grabbed a 21-7 lead at the start of the third quarter, the Pioneers cut the deficit to seven on two different occasions over the remainder of the game…However, Findlay answered each of the Malone scores with TD drives to secure the 14-point victory…Malone currently ranks fifth among the GLIAC's 15 schools with an average of 230.9 rushing yards per contest…The Pioneers are also seventh in the conference in scoring (30.7 points per game) and eighth in total yards (404.9 yards per outing)...Although the squad was stopped twice against Findlay, Malone still leads the GLIAC in red zone touchdown percentage at 76%, having posted 29 TDs and three field goals on 38 trips inside its opponents' 20-yard line this year…The Pioneers have picked up 120 first downs via the run this year, 11 shy of the single-season school record for rushing first downs…Malone's last victory over a nationally-ranked foe came on Nov. 1, 2008 at Fawcett Stadium with a 27-23 win against NAIA #12 Saint Xavier (IL) University.

Malone players to watch:  WR Jordan Phillips tallied four catches for 92 yards and a touchdown against the Oilers…On the season, the redshirt freshman leads the squad with 31 catches for 525 yards and is tied for third in the GLIAC with six receiving TDs…He has also gained 53 yards on 10 rushing attempts and racked up 677 yards on 28 kickoff returns (24.2 average), including a 95-yard run back for a score…Phillips' average of 125.5 all-purpose yards per game ranks 10th in the conference…RB Justin Davis picked up 88 rushing yards and a TD vs. Findlay and has now recorded 690 rushing yards on 124 attempts this season (5.6 average) with seven TDs…The sophomore has also contributed in the passing game with 219 receiving yards and three TD catches…QB Brandyn Eckhart replaced injured starter Will Szpor at the beginning of the third quarter Saturday and completed four of six passes for 92 yards and a TD…Eckhart has now thrown for 755 yards  and seven TD this season while also rushing for 244 yards and four scores…Szpor has also seen plenty of time at the QB position, having posted 936 passing yards and eight TDs to go with 257 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns…DB Demarco Donaldson's five forced fumbles ranks second in NCAA Division II…Donaldson has posted double-digit tackles in nine of ten games so far this season and his average of 11.7 tackles per leads the conference.

Ohio Dominican Notes – The Panthers can clinch an undefeated regular season and at least a share of the GLIAC Title with a win over the Pioneers…ODU scored on each of its first eight possessions this past Saturday en route to a 62-21 home victory against Lake Erie College…The Panthers have not surrendered more than 23 points in a game this year…They lead the conference in scoring defense (16.9 points per game) and rank second in both yards allowed (356.4 per contest) and sacks (33)…The Ohio Dominican offense also ranks among the GLIAC leaders in numerous categories…ODU is third in the conference in both points (38.9 per game) and yards (497.9 per contest) while ranking fourth in rushing (247.3 yards per game) and fifth in passing (250.6 yards per outing)… On special teams, the Panthers lead the GLIAC in kickoff-return average (30.5 yards per attempt), rank second in punt-return average (15.1 yards per attempt) and have run back two kickoffs and one punt for scores…ODU shares the NCAA Division II lead for fewest turnovers, having lost just two fumbles and thrown only six interceptions through its first nine games.

Ohio Dominican players to watch: QB Mark Miller has completed 189 of his 275 (68.7%) pass attempts this season for 2243 yards with 20 touchdowns and six interceptions…Miller has the second highest completion percentage among GLIAC QBs…He also ranks third in the conference in touchdown passes and is fourth in yards per game (249.2)… The RB duo of Mark Nichols and Brandon Schoen has combined for 1946 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns…Nichols has picked up 1057 yards and eight scores on 181 attempts (5.8 avg) while Schoen has carried the ball 143 times for 889 yards (6.2 yards) and six TDs…WR Abe Johnson has tallied a team-high 53 receptions for 551 yards and six TDs…In addition to their offensive contributions, Nichols and Johnson have both been dangerous on special teams, each with a kickoff return for a TD…Nichols has totaled 409 yards on 14 returns (29.2) while Johnson has notched 194 yards on just five attempts (38.8 average)…WR Dez Stewart has made 48 catches for 781 yards with five touchdowns on the year and is fourth in the conference with an average of 86.8 yards per game…Kicker Brent Wahle has drilled 20 of 24 field goals on the season…DB Justin Bell has registered a team-leading 84 tackles to go with two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, an interception and three pass break-ups…Bell is also averaging 15.1 yards on his 21 punt returns, including a 91-yard return for a TD vs. Grand Valley State.
