Women's Golf Places Third Among Eight At Westminster Invite

Freshman Maggie Reiman paced Malone at Westminster on Monday with a round of 92. The Pioneers placed third among an eight-team field at the event.


Results

The Malone University women's golf team earned a third-place finish, among an eight-team field, at the Mary Cleland Eckles Invitational (hosted by Westminster (PA) College) on Monday.  In addition, the Pioneers' Maggie Reiman led Malone with a round of 92, which placed her seventh among the 47 golfers in the overall field.

Malone tallied a score of 378 for its third-place finish as Seton Hill (PA) University won the event at 354.  Clarion (PA) University was the runner-up at 377, just one stroke in front of Malone, host Westminster placed fourth at 406 and Washington & Jefferson (PA) College rounded out the top five with a 413 total.

After Reiman's score of 92, Heather Evanich was next for Malone with a round of 94 which earned her a share of 10th place overall.  Abby Froman was one stroke back at 95 in 12th place while Natalie Reddaway also scored for the Pioneers with a 97 (tied for 15th).  In addition, Katlynn Stoll tallied a 119.

Malone will be back in action on Friday when the squad hosts the Malone Invitational at The Legends Golf Course in Massillon.  The event is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
