FLORENCE, Ind. - On Friday, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship event concluded at the Belterra Resort. The Malone University women's golf team moved up two spots on the leaderboard to finish in a tie for eighth overall.

The Pioneers wrapped up the third round at 1012 (340-338-334). The University of Findlay made it to the match play final with a team score of 874 (291-292-291) and won their eighth consecutive team title with a match play win over Ashland University.

Maria Warner was the best-finishing Pioneer at 245 (81-80-84), a mark good for 26th overall. She had a pair of birdies, both on par-4 holes.
Addison Burris made strides in the third round and finished the tournament at 257 (88-87-82). The sophomore birdied the par-3 seventh hole.
Erin Strouse had the lowest third round of the team and was one back of Burris at 258 (90-87-81). The senior had one birdie on her scorecard.

Kaylyn Henson had one birdie en route to a 259 (87-85-87).
Claire Hostetler rounded out the team members for the Pioneers at 262 (84-86-92).

The 2025-26 season comes to an end for the Malone women's golf program after the conference championship event.
