Malone Women's Golf Recognized as Inaugural G-MAC Sportsmanship Award Recipient

05/15/26

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) has announced postseason awards for the 2025-26 women's golf season. In its inaugural season, the Malone University women's golf team has been chosen as the G-MAC Sportsmanship Award winner.

The Great Midwest Sportsmanship Award, adopted in May of 2025, aims to recognize one institution for their teams' outstanding sportsmanship throughout an academic year. Head coaches of each sport ranks the sportsmanship of each institution's team participating in the specific sport during the All-Conference Team voting process.

The Pioneers, led by Head Coach Bill Eddins, tied for eighth at the G-MAC Championship event with improved scores in each of the three rounds of play. Other highlights for Malone included top-four finishes at the Mount Union Spring Invitational, Cherokee Invitational and Belterra Classic.

"This is a very humbling honor and I could not be happier for our program to accept such a complimentary award," Eddins mentioned. "We recruit character above anything else and this reinforces the exceptional young ladies that we have representing Malone University!"
