Series:        Ohio Dominican holds a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series with Malone.  The Pioneers defeated the Panthers 39-32 in the first-ever contest between the two schools, held at ODU on Oct. 16, 2004.  Since then, Ohio Dominican has won four straight over Malone, including a 34-24 victory at Fawcett Stadium on November 15, 2008 - the most recent match-up in the series.

Coaches:   
MaloneEric Hehman is in his third season as the Pioneers' head coach and has tallied an 8-22 record at Malone.  Prior to arriving in Canton, Hehman spent the previous five years as the head coach at NCAA Division III Greenville (IL) College where he led the Panthers to a 28-22 record and a berth in the 2009 NCCAA Victory Bowl.
Ohio DominicanBill Conley is now in his third season as the Panthers' head coach and has guided ODU to a 16-15 overall record.  Conley was named the OhioCollegeFootball.com Division II Coach of the Year last fall after leading the Panthers to a 7-4 record.  Prior to becoming Ohio Dominican's head coach, Conley completed two stints as an assistant at Ohio State University - from 1984-87 under Earl Bruce and then from 1992-2003 under John Cooper and Jim Tressel.

Malone Notes – The Pioneers fell 38-14 at the University of Findlay this past Saturday…In all, four of the Oilers' five touchdowns were scored off Malone turnovers…Findlay built a 24-14 halftime lead and then put the game out of reach with two third-quarter TDs…The Pioneers rank fifth among the GLIAC's 16 schools in pass defense, giving up only 193.6 yards through the air per contest….On offense, Malone is currently seventh in the conference in time of possession, holding the ball for an average of 30:02 per game...Malone has registered 16 takeaways through its first nine games (nine fumbles, seven int.)…However, the Pioneers have also committed 22 turnovers (12 fumbles, 10 int.) for a -6 turnover margin.

Malone players to watch:  Slot back/WR Justin McLean posted four catches for 105 yards in Saturday's contest, including a 79-yard TD grab in the second quarter that marked the Pioneers' longest pass completion of the season…On the season, McLean has registered a team-high 31 catches for 532 yards and six scores…McLean has also posted 556 yards on 32 kickoff returns and currently ranks sixth in the GLIAC with an average of 132.2 all-purpose yards per game… QB Will Szpor has completed 102 of his 193 (52.9%) passes for 1282 yards with nine TD's and seven interceptions…Truman Franklin has also seen contributed at the QB position….last week at Findlay, Franklin completed seven of eight passes and scored a rushing TD…DB Demarco Donaldson currently ranks second in the GLIAC with an average of 11.2 tackles per game (101 total)…Donaldson has also recorded seven pass break-ups, five forced fumbles and one fumble recovery …LB Antonio Scassa has posted 73 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss, an interception and a fumble recovery…DB Logan Francis has posted 73 tackles and a team-high three interceptions…DL Frank McCormick has tallied 46 tackles, including nine tackles for loss and five sacks.

Ohio Dominican Notes – After opening the season at 2-2, the Panthers have won five of their last six games, including a 44-14 triumph over Lake Erie College this past Saturday…ODU held a 21-14 halftime lead in the contest and then outscored the Storm 23-0 over the final 30 minutes to put the game out of reach… ODU currently ranks in the Top 5 in numerous GLIAC statistical categories…The Panthers are second in the conference (13th in all of NCAA Div. II) in rushing with an average of 237.3 yards on the ground per game…Ohio Dominican has been especially effective in the red zone, having posted 33 touchdowns and eight field goals on 47 trips inside its opponents' 20-yard line...The Panther defense has also been solid, giving up 22.0 points per outing – the third lowest average in the GLIAC.

Ohio Dominican players to watch: Although he did not record a carry until the Panthers' fourth game of the season, RB Brandon Schoen has been a force in the backfield for ODU …In the Panthers' last seven games, the freshman has piled up 942 rushing yards on 141 attempts (6.7 yards per carry) with nine touchdowns… RB Mark Nichols has also made major contributions to the Ohio Dominican running game with 475 total rushing yards and five touchdowns so far this year…QB Mark Miller, currently ranked fourth in the GLIAC in pass efficiency, has completed 141 of his 232 pass attempts (60.8%) for 2021 yards with 19 TDs and 11 interceptions…WRs Abe Johnson and Ronald McCloud are Belton's two favorite targets…Johnson has caught 41 passes for 520 yards and six touchdowns while McCloud has hauled in 32 receptions for 616 yards and eight scores...DB Justin Bell has tallied a team-high 91 tackles on the year with two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two interceptions…DB  Billy Eakins has also made a big impact in the Panther secondary with 50 total tackles, a sack, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, six pass break-ups and three interceptions.
