Norwalk’s Trevor Bowers Signs To Play Tennis At Malone University

Trevor Bowers, of Norwalk, Ohio, has signed a letter of intent during the NCAA early signing period to play for the Malone University men's tennis team.

Bowers was a four-year letter winner on the Norwalk High School tennis team where he was the three-time team MVP and a two-time state qualifier. He owns a 92-6 prep career record, including the school record for most wins in a season, and has been ranked as high as #6 in the state. He is a two-star recruit on tennisrecruiting.net, which lists him as the 14th ranked player in Ohio, 75th ranked player in the Great Lakes Region and 553rd ranked player in the nation.

"Trevor is a strong tennis player with faith in God that models what I want our program to be about,” said Malone head coach Brian Mogus. “He is very motivated and I think he will make some noise in the GLIAC as a freshman."

Trevor's brother, Kyle, was a member of the Malone tennis team from 2005-09. In addition to tennis, Trevor is also a four-year letterman on the soccer team at Norwalk and a two-time All-District player. He intends to major in Exercise Science at Malone.
