Series:        Findlay has won each of the two previous meetings with Malone.  The two schools, both former NAIA members, first met in an NAIA playoff game at Findlay on December 2, 1995 – a contest the Oilers won 15-7.  Findlay then tallied a 13-10 regular-season victory in Canton on October 5, 1996.

Coaches:   
MaloneEric Hehman is in his third season as the Pioneers' head coach and has tallied an 8-21 record at Malone.  Prior to arriving in Canton, Hehman spent the previous five years as the head coach at NCAA Division III Greenville (IL) College where he led the Panthers to a 28-22 record and a berth in the 2009 NCCAA Victory Bowl.
 FindlayRob Keys is now in his second season as the Oilers head coach and has guided UF to an 11-8 overall record.  Keys previously served as an assistant coach for the Oilers from 2000-04.  He then held assistant coaching positions at Indiana State Univ., Slippery Rock (PA) University, and the Univ. of New Hampshire before returning to Findlay to become the Oilers' head coach.

Coaches Show: In the ninth installment of the Coaches Show, coach Hehman and host Clint Scroggs discuss last week's game against Notre Dame College and this week's match-up with the University of Findlay.  Plus, coach Hehman gives an update on the status of the program's recruiting efforts.

Last Season's Records: Malone 4-7 (N/A), Findlay 6-5 (6-4 GLIAC)

Malone Notes – The Pioneers suffered a tough 36-19 loss at home to Notre Dame College this past Saturday…Malone held a 16-0 lead late in the second quarter before the Falcons fought back…NDC got on the scoreboard with a touchdown pass just before halftime and then outscored the Pioneers 30-3 over the final two quarters…The Pioneers rank sixth among the GLIAC's 16 schools in pass defense, giving up only 198.2 yards through the air per contest….On offense, Malone is currently ninth in the conference in time of possession, holding the ball for an average of 29:26 per game...Malone forced four turnovers on Saturday, giving the squad 15 takeaways through its first eight games (eight fumbles, seven int.)…However, the Pioneers have also committed 18 turnovers (nine fumbles, nine int.) for a -3 turnover margin.

Malone players to watch:  Slot back/WR Justin McLean posted 202 all-purpose yards in Saturday's contest against Notre Dame, totaling six kickoff returns for 124 yards and four catches for 78 yards with a touchdown…On the season, McLean has registered a team-high 27 catches for 427 yards and five scores…McLean currently ranks eighth in the GLIAC with an average of 133.1 all-purpose yards per game…RBs Steven Niewiedzial and Reggie Terrell combined for 132 rushing yards last week (66 yards each)…QB Will Szpor has completed 93 of his 180 (52%) passes for 1156 yards with eight TD's and six interceptions…DB Demarco Donaldson posted 11 tackles and forced a fumble in last week's match-up with Notre Dame…Donaldson currently ranks second in the GLIAC with an average of 11.5 tackles per game (92 total)…Donaldson has also registered six pass break-ups, four forced fumbles and one fumble recovery …LB Antonio Scassa has posted 70 tackles with 3.5 tackles for loss, an interception, and a fumble recovery…DL Frank McCormick ranks fifth in the conference with five sacks…Through eight games, McCormick has tallied 42 tackles, including nine tackles for loss.

Findlay Notes – The Oilers have dropped two of their last three contests after winning four out of their first five games to open the season…Last week, Findlay suffered a 42-21 defeat at NCAA Div. II No. 6 Ashland …The Oilers grabbed an early 7-0 lead in the contest before the Eagles took command by rattling off the next 35 points…Findlay has had plenty of success moving the football this year, ranking fourth in the GLIAC with an average of 451.4 yards of offense per contest… Findlay is also the least penalized team in the GLIAC, having been flagged just 27 times for 250 yards (31.2 average)…The Oiler defense is ninth in the conference against the pass (218.1 yards per game) but has struggled at times to get off the field on third down, allowing opponents to convert over 54% of the time.

Findlay players to watch: RB Monterae Williams, a Canton McKinley graduate, broke the Oilers' career rushing record in a victory over Lake Erie earlier this season…A three-time All-GLIAC honoree, Williams currently ranks second in the GLIAC in rushing with an average of 130.9 yards per game…On the year, Williams has carried the ball 205 times for 1047 yards and a conference-best 15 touchdowns…QB Clay Belton has completed 164 of 273 pass attempts (60%) for 2115 yards with 14 TDs and eight interceptions…Belton's 264 passing yards per game is the fourth-best average in the conference… WR Seth White and TE Jaryd Brown are Belton's two favorite targets as the duo ranks sixth and seventh, respectively, in the GLIAC in receptions per game…White has caught 44 passes for 600 yards and three touchdowns while Brown has hauled in 42 receptions for 536 yards and five scores...LB Brandon Butler is the GLIAC's leading tackler, averaging 12 stops per outing (96 total)….Butler has also tallied 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery…DL Richard Sumlin has made 35 total tackles and leads the squad with 7.5 tackles for loss.
