Women's Golf Finishes 11th At Cleveland State Invitational

Freshman Maggie Reiman tallied a two-day score of 169, with rounds of 85 and 84, to pace Malone at the Cleveland State Invitational.


Final Results

The Malone University women's golf team concluded the second and final day of the Cleveland State University Invitational at the Pine Hills Golf Club in Hinckley, Ohio on Tuesday. The Pioneers finished in 11th place, with a score of 723 (367-356), among the 11-team field.

Oakland (MI) University won the Invitational with a score of 602 (302-300), followed by Bowling Green State University in second at 640 (319-321). The University of Dayton tied with St. Francis (PA)University  for the third spot at 642. Rounding out the fifth position was Walsh University with a score of 644.

For Malone, Maggie Reiman led the way with an overall score of 169 (85-84), which put her tied for 35th place among the 61- golfer field. Natalie Reddaway and Abby Froman were next for the Pioneers at 182 (Reddaway 94-88; Froman 91-91). In addition, Heather Evanich posted a 190 (97-93) and Alicia Kindig tallied a 207 (106-101).

Malone will next compete at the All-Ohio Independent Championship at the Raintree County Club in Uniontown, Ohio October 5-6.
