Women's Golf Finishes Fifth At College Of Wooster Invite

Natalie Reddaway finished second for Malone and 18th overall with a score of 100. Freshman Maggie Reiman (no action photo available yet), playing in her first college tournament, led Malone with a round of 88 (4th place overall).


Results

The Malone University women's golf team opened its fall 2011 season by competing in The College of Wooster Invitational on Saturday afternoon at the par-72, 5802-yard Wooster Country Club. The Pioneers finished fifth, with a score of 401, among a five-team field as the University of Mt. Union won the event with a score of 352. 

Baldwin-Wallace College finished as the runner-up at 356, John Carroll University was third at 381 and Wooster took fourth at 390.

Freshmen Maggie Reiman, competing in her first collegiate tournament for Malone, led the team with a fourth-place finish overall with a round of 88. Natalie Reddaway was second for the Pioneers and 18th overall at 100. Also competing for the team were Heather Evanich in 23rd (106), Alicia Kindig in 24th (107) and Katlynn Stoll in 31st (124).

Mt. Union's Mary Snode won individual medalist honors with a round of 81.

Malone will next compete in the University of Northwestern Ohio Invitational on Friday (Sept. 23rd) at the Hawthorne Hills Golf Course in Lima, Ohio.
