Men's Tennis Drops Conference Opener At Cedarville 8-1

Sophomore Nathan Davis (above) teamed with David Cairns to pocket the lone victory for the Pioneers as the team lost to Cedarville University (away) 8-1 in their AMC opener Saturday. At #1 doubles, Davis and Cairns won 8-5.

In its American Mideast Conference opener Saturday, the Malone University men's tennis team lost at Cedarville University as the host Yellow Jackets prevailed by a score of 8-1. David Cairns and Nathan Davis picked up the Pioneers' only victory in the match in an 8-5 decision over their opponents at #1 doubles. With the loss, Malone fell to 0-9 (0-1 AMC) on the season while Cedarville improved to 4-7 (1-0 AMC).
