Against American Mideast Conference rival Walsh University on Thursday, the Malone University men's tennis team lost an away contest to the host Cavaliers by the score of 8-1. Wtih the loss, the Pioneers fell to 0-11 overall (0-3 AMC) while Walsh improved to 7-7 overall (3-0 AMC).

Joss Celuch teamed up at #2 doubles to post an 8-5 win over their opponents for the only Malone win on the day. Steinmetz also battled extremely well in his #3 singles match but lost 7-6 (7-3), 6-4. In addition,
Nathan Davis, at #2 singles, also narrowly missed out on a victory, losing 7-6 (8-6), 7-6 (7-2).

On Saturday, Malone will compete in a pair of matches at Thiel (PA) College. At 1:00 p.m., Malone will face Edinboro (PA) University and then, at 4:00 p.m., the Pioneers will square off against host Thiel.
