The Malone University men's tennis team lost an 8-1 contest to host and American Mideast Conference opponent Roberts Wesleyan (NY) College on Saturday.
David Cairns and teammate
Nathan Davis, playing at #1 doubles, earned the Pioneers' only win on the day as they emerged victorious in a down-to-the-wire affair 9-8 (7-5).
With the loss, Malone dropped to 0-10 overall on the season and to 0-2 in AMC play. Roberts Wesleyan improved to 7-4 overall and to 1-1 in the AMC.
