The Malone University men's tennis team lost an 8-1 decision to visiting Grove City (PA) College Saturday afternoon in a match played indoors at the Towpath Tennis Center in Akron. Top singles player
David Cairns earned the lone Pioneer victory on the day as he posted a 7-5, 3-6, (11-9) victory.
Nathan Davis, at #2 singles, nearly accomplished a comeback attempt but fell in the final set in a 10-6 super tiebreaker loss.
With the loss, Malone dropped to 0-8 on the season while Grove City improved to 3-0.
