The Cougars have won 12 of their 13 all-time meetings with the Pioneers. Malone defeated Saint Francis 55-30 in the first-ever contest between the two schools on October 3rd, 1998. Since then, USF has posted 12 straight victories in the series.

Malone –
Eric Hehman is in his second season as the Pioneers' head coach, having led Malone to a 6-11 overall mark since taking over the reins of the program in 2010. Prior to arriving at Malone, Hehman had spent the previous five years as the head coach at NCAA Division III Greenville (IL) College where he led the Panthers to a 28-22 record and a berth in the 2009 NCCAA Victory Bowl.
Saint Francis –
Kevin Donley is in his 14th season at Saint Francis and has guided the Cougars to a 135-30 mark and three appearances in the NAIA National Championship Game since the program began play in 1998. Overall, Donley has compiled a 250-116-1 record in 33 seasons of coaching college football.

Malone Notes – The Pioneers will look to knock off the 12th-ranked Cougars this weekend after dropping games to NAIA #1 Saint Xavier (IL) University and rival Walsh University the past two weeks…Malone jumped out to a 3-0 lead against the Cavaliers this past Saturday before Walsh's offense came alive, rattling off 28 unanswered points en route to the 35-10 victory…The Pioneers rank ninth out of the MSFA's 19 teams in rushing offense with an average of 124.9 yards per game….Malone also ranks fifth in the MSFA in kick-off returns, having tallied an average of 21.6 yards on 39 attempts.
Malone players to watch: WR
Justin McLean has been a consistent playmaker for the Pioneers in 2011 as he continues to lead the MSFA in all-purpose yardage with an average of 155.9 yards per game… So far this season, McLean has provided four scoring plays of 80 yards or more, including TD receptions of 94 and 81 yards and kickoff returns for touchdowns of 99 and 90 yards…In all, McLean has posted 20 catches on the year for 387 yards (19.4 average), ran back 23 kickoffs for 580 yards (25.2 average) and returned nine punts for 110 yards (12.2 average)…RB
Daryon Mosley has tallied 368 rushing yards on 74 carries (5.0 average) to go with 10 pass receptions for 102 yards and three scores (two rushing, one receiving)…
Josh McLaughlin has completed 14 of his 27 passes for 142 yards since taking over the QB duties when starter
Will Szpor was injured against Saint Xavier…McLaughlin is also a threat on the ground, having gained 110 yards on 30 carries with one rushing TD…DB

Saint Francis Notes – Last Saturday, the Cougars suffered a 40-13 Homecoming defeat to NAIA No. 2 Marian (IN) University, marking just the third home loss for USF in its last 65 games at D'Arcy Stadium …The Knights scored touchdowns on their first three possessions of the contest and took a commanding 24-7 lead to the locker room at halftime…Despite being limited to 13 points against Marian, USF still ranks fifth in the MSFA in scoring offense with an average of 37.0 points per game…The Cougars also rank second in the MSFA in both passing offense (241.5 yards per contest) and kickoff returns (26.6 yards per attempt).
Saint Francis players to watch: Through the Cougars first six games, QB Justin Boser has completed 91 of 164 passes for 1157 yards with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions…WR Aaron Knight has been Boser's favorite target so far this year as he has hauled in 21 catches for 306 yards and one TD…WR Bryce Thornton has also put up solid numbers thus far with 15 catches for 222 yards and one touchdown…WR Koby Frye has contributed 15 catches for 160 yards and also scored two rushing touchdowns on eight carries…RB Antion Campbell has helped fill the void left by an injury to starting RB Frank Wolfe, having gained 256 rushing yards on 58 attempts (4.4 average) with seven rushing TD's…Campbell has also snagged 10 catches for 120 yards with two receiving touchdowns…On defense, LB Brody Kalbaugh leads the MSFA with 75 total tackles…Fellow LB Derek VandenBosch has made 40 total tackles with a sack and two pass break-ups…DBs Taylor Brown and Erick Humphrey have each registered 35 total tackles…LB Ross Bauman has recorded two interceptions to go with 30 total tackles and a sack…DL Anthony Moore and Rex Drabenstot share the team lead for sacks with three apiece.
