In last Friday’s home meet vs. Wheeling Jesuit University, Friedrich, a freshman from Rotenberg, Germany, set two new Malone records.

In the 500 freestyle, she posted a winning time of 5:22.82, breaking her own mark of 5:25.27 from earlier this season. She also tallied a second-place time in the 1000 free in 10:58.66, just edging the old record of 10:59.28 by Marta Jankowska from earlier this season.
