Pioneers Move Up in NCCAA Coaches Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Malone University women's basketball team moved up one spot in the NCCAA Coaches Poll to third overall.
 
The Pioneers passed Mid-America Christian (19-4) and are still behind Campbellsville University (20-1) and Wayland Baptist University (20-2). Malone is now 18-2 overall and are riding a 13-game win streak.
 
Junior center Erin Kaufman received the Athlete of the Week award from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) for her performances in wins against Lake Erie College and Tiffin University. Kaufman notched a double-double against the Dragons in just 19 minutes played with 18 points and 13 rebounds. It is her fifth double-double of the 2024-25 season.
 
Senior guard Brooklyn Troyer has also made a huge impact on the court. She has scored in double figures in each of the last three games, including a season-high 19 points against both Kentucky Wesleyan College and Lake Erie College. She has made three or more attempts from long range in each of those contests and leads the conference in three-point field goal percentage (40.9%).

Junior forward Alia Miller contributed off the bench for Malone with 14 points in the team's win at Tiffin. The Pioneers won the paint battle 28-18 and in second chance points 15-3 in the victory. 
 
Malone has their biggest game of the season against #10 Ashland University at home on Thursday, February 6. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 P.M.
