At-Large Selections Made for CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. - College Sports Communicators (CSC) has unveiled the recipients of the Academic All-District distinction for the at-large category. 23 different sports across NCAA Divisions fall under the At-Large criteria, including men's and women's golf as well as men's and women's lacrosse.
 
In order to be eligible, a student must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or higher and at least a sophomore. On top of academic achievements, the CSC also has athletic nomination criteria for participation and success in a given sport.
 
The Malone University men's golf team was represented by sophomore Ryan Yoder. The Amhurst, Ohio native was named NCCAA All-American after an eighth-place finish at the national championship event. He scored a 23rd-place mark at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championships as well.
 
Representing the Malone University women's golf team as CSC Academic All-District honorees were Erin Strouse and Maria Warner. The graduates also received Academic All-District honors in 2025. Strouse, a Louisville, Ohio native, had a pair of top-ten finishes in the 2025-26 season and placed 38th at the G-MAC Championship event. Warner from Alliance, Ohio, led the Pioneers at the G-MAC Championships with a 26th-place finish and tallied a pair of top-fives on the year.
 
Junior face-off man Ty McCort was named CSC Academic All-District from the Malone University men's lacrosse team. The Stow, Ohio native led Malone with a 54.1% face-off percentage for the season at 92-for-170. McCort had the second-most groundballs on the squad with 42.
 
The Pioneers had three Academic All-District selections from women's lacrosse. Senior Cam English, junior Abbey Burns and sophomore Sydney Atkinson were chosen for their work on the field and in the classroom. English, an attack from Louisville, Ohio native, was second on the team in total points with 60 (34 goals, 26 assists). Burns, a midfielder from Melbourne, Australia, was a Second Team All-Conference honoree led the team with 69 points (35 goals, 34 assists) and scooped up a team-high 50 groundballs and 70 draw controls over the course of 2026. Atkinson, from Chardon, Ohio, was a Second Team All-Conference selection as well as a goalie. She tallied 134 saves and a .473 save percentage in 930 minutes.
