ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Malone University track & field teams participated in the rain-shortened Mount Union Classic on Thursday.

The Pioneers recorded an event win with
Yahya Jawadi in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:02.97. A runner-up finish was credited to
Gavin Tribelo in the shot put at 15.56 meters (51' 0.75").
Aidan Mastaso was also top-eight in the event with a seventh-place score of 14.13 meters (46' 4.25"). The final top-three mark for Malone was the women's 4x100-meter relay team of
Amber Morris,
Abigail Blaz,
SaRae Johnson and
Allea Graves. They had a time of 48.27 seconds to set the third-fastest mark in program history.

Four student-athletes brought home sixth-place finishes for the Pioneers.
Kristin Yeager ran the 1500-meter run in 4:56.04. In the 400-meter hurdles,
Rebekah Stoneman was sixth at 1:08.55.
Caden McClure tied for the sixth-best mark in the pole vault at 4.48 meters (14' 8.25").
Obed West was sixth in the hammer throw at 46.42 meters (152' 3.00").

To match his seventh-place effort in the shot put, Mastaso was also seventh in the discus at 43.65 meters (143' 2.00").
Allea Graves reached the 100-meter dash finals with a time of 12.34 seconds. Her time was seventh overall and matched her outdoor career-best.
Xander Heil was seventh in the 800-meter dash with a time of 1:54.12. The lone eighth-place finish for Malone was
Isabelle Perry in the shot put at 11.66 meters (38' 3.25").

The postseason is next for the Pioneers at the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championships beginning on Wednesday, April 29. The 2026 iteration of the conference championship event will take place at Hillsdale College.
