03/03/26

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The final regular season poll for NCCAA women's basketball has been released. The Malone University women's basketball team is ranked second in the association with a 23-5 overall record. The Pioneers moved up one spot but still trail Campbellsville University.

Malone enters the postseason having won each of their last seven games and 11-of-12 dating back to January 17. In the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Tournament, the Pioneers earned the two seed and will play the seventh-seeded Kentucky Wesleyan College Panthers on Tuesday, March 3 at 5:30 P.M.

Inside Osborne Hall, Malone is 12-2 overall this season and their 23-5 record is the best regular season mark in the program's NCAA Division II era. In their most recent game, the Pioneers were able to retain the Mayors' Cup for the third consecutive season with a 67-58 triumph over the Walsh University Cavaliers.

Malone is led by senior Erin Kaufman, who is averaging 16.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Junior forward Elena Oliver is by her side in the post and guards Irene Maroto (junior), Brinn Hunt (senior) and Anna Krupa (senior) surround her as starters.

All-Conference selections will be announced by the G-MAC on Friday, March 6.
