GREENVILLE, S.C. - For the second time this season, junior
Mia Rose has been selected as the NCCAA Softball Pitcher of the Week, an award presented by Athletic Solutions.

The Gnadenhutton, Ohio native pitched a complete game shutout in her only pitching appearance of the week in a 3-0 triumph over Salem University. She allowed just two baserunners in seven innings of work and fanned a season-high 12 batters. 12 strikeouts in a game is the second-most by an NCCAA pitcher on the year. Rose also helped her own cause with an RBI single to give the team the lead.

The Malone University softball team is off to a quality start to the year at 4-2 overall. Rose is 3-0 in the circle and is in the top-ten in the NCCAA with a 1.84 ERA early in the 2026 season.

The Pioneers will kickoff their spring break trip to Florida against Rockhurst University on Sunday, March 8 at 4:45 P.M.
