CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University women's basketball team has qualified for the Great Midwest Women's Basketball Championship with a 23-5 overall record and 16-4 mark in conference play. The Pioneers have earned the number two seed and will play the seventh-seeded Kentucky Wesleyan College (15-11, 11-9 G-MAC) on Tuesday, March 3 at 5:30 P.M.

NO CARD OR CASH SALESÂ will be made at the door. Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) students can receive free admission by displaying their student ID. Students (K-12) and senior tickets are $10 and adults are $15. Attendees should enter Osborne Hall at the south entrance.

Malone enters postseason play having won each of their last seven games, their most recent win coming at Walsh University 67-58 to claim their third consecutive Mayors' Cup Trophy.
Brinn Hunt tallied 15 points on five made three-point field goals and
Erin Kaufman had a double-double with team-highs in points (18) and rebounds (11).

The Pioneers and Panthers split their season series, with each team winning on the other's home floor. Kentucky Wesleyan won in Canton on January 15 by a score of 65-63. Malone then took the rematch in Owensboro on February 12, 60-52. The Panthers broke their four-game losing skid with a 78-75 victory over Thomas More University in their regular season finale.

The winner of the G-MAC Quarterfinal game will advance to the Semifinal Round on Friday, March 6. Details on that game will be released at the conclusion of play on Tuesday.
