GREENVILLE, S.C. - Malone University baseball's
Colin Coblentz has been selected by the NCCAA as the association's Baseball Offensive Player of the Week, presented by Athletic Solutions. It is the first career weekly award for the freshman.

Coblentz, the outfielder from Millersburg, Ohio, tied for the team lead with six RBIs (from the leadoff spot) and came around to score nine times in the four-game set against West Liberty University. Coblentz was 6-for-14 (.429 batting average) with one triple and three homeruns. He helped propel the Pioneers to a 3-1 series win over the Hilltoppers and Malone is 7-1 overall this season.

The freshman is batting .400 (12-for-30) in eight games this season. He is the team leader with 14 runs, 12 hits, three doubles, four homeruns, nine RBIs, 29 total bases. Coblentz is limiting his non-productive outs as well with just two strikeouts in 34 plate appearances.

Malone begins their Florida schedule with a matchup against Concordia University-St. Paul on Thursday, March 5 at 12:15 P.M.
