INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) has announced Erin Kaufman of the Malone University women's basketball team as the league's Athlete of the Week. It is her first weekly award of the season and the fourth of her career.
 
The senior center from Glandorf, Ohio was dominant inside and averaged 17.0 points and 15.5 rebounds per game on the week on 31.5 minutes against Ohio Dominican University and Walsh University. The Pioneers defeated the Panthers on the road 63-52 and defeated the Cavaliers at home 70-60 to move to 15-4 on the season and 8-3 in conference play.
 
Kaufman had a double-double in each contest to give her nine in 2025-26. She scored 14 points and pulled down a career-high 18 rebounds in the week's first game, nine of which came on the offensive end of the floor. Kaufman was 7-of-15 from the field.
 
Against Walsh, the post player had the same shooting numbers, but this time led the team with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Kaufman added a 6-for-9 effort at the free throw line to give her some additional points in the game.
 
Malone travels to Ashland University to take on the 11-6 Eagles in their next game on Thursday, January 29. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 P.M.
