CANTON, Ohio - The Malone University women's lacrosse team has announced several signees that will see the field in the upcoming 2026 season. There are six incoming freshmen to the program.

Caroline Bobo is an attack from South Lebanon, Ohio and Kings High School. She was a four-year varsity letter-winner and team captain that is currently the program leader in career assists. Bobo was Second Team All-Eastern Cincinnati Conference (ECC) and a four-year recipient of the All-ECC Academic Award. She helped lead the Knights to two ECC titles in 2022 and 2025 as well as a run to the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) State Semifinal Round and a District Championship. Bobo graduated magna cum laude from her class.

Brooklyn Essik enters the program as a Stark County graduate from Louisville High School. The midfielder won four varsity letters, was a four-year scholar athlete and received the 3-D award and role model award while a member of the Leopards lacrosse program. She was on the honor roll all four academic years as well as a member of National Honor Society. Essik intends to study bio-chemistry while at Malone.

Ashtyn Praeter is a graduate of Bellbrook High School and plays in the midfield. She received the comeback coaches award after missing time due to an injury and earned the sportsmanship award in her junior season. Her senior year, Praeter was Second Team All-Region and was a varsity captain. She helped lead the Golden Eagles to their best seasons in program history and farthest postseason runs. Academically, Praeter was a scholar-athlete and will study nursing.

Annie Peterson attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School and is from Tallmadge, Ohio. She was a defender for the Fighting Irish lacrosse team that went 16-2 in the 2025 season. She was named Defender of the Year that season and won three varsity letters in total. Peterson intends to study biology and will enter the pre-veterinarian track.

Kennedy Dye is a defender from Cincinnati, Ohio. She was a member of the lacrosse team at Sycamore High School and the Aviators were 17-5 last season. Dye intends to study psychology while being a student-athlete for the Pioneers.

Saige Stewart was also a member of the Bellbrook High School lacrosse team. She was Second Team Division II in the OHSAA and helped the team to a postseason run in 2025. Stewart won the scholar athlete award and is a nursing major.
