GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sport Communicators (CSC) have announced the recipients of Academic All-District for the sport of softball in the 2025 season.
Allie Weilnau of the Malone University softball program was honored as a CSC Academic All-District member.
In order to be eligible, a student must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or higher and at least a sophomore academically. On top of academic achievements, the CSC also has athletic nomination criteria for participation and success in a given sport.
The senior from Sandusky, Ohio helped anchor a pitching staff that finished the year with a team ERA of 2.73. Weilnau had an ERA of 2.64 herself with a 14-8 record, 17 complete games and 105 strikeouts. Malone finished the season with a record of 24-20 and the team made the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Softball Championship Tournament for the second year in a row.
