GROVE CITY, Ohio – On day two of the NC4K Classic, the Malone University women's golf team finished 15th of 16 participating institutions. Ferris State University was able to pull away by ten strokes for the team win.
The Pioneers were led by
Erin Strouse with a final score of 171 (87-84). Strouse picked up 13 spots in the second round and had a birdie on the 17th hole. She placed 50th overall.
Maria Warner (90-87) and
Addison Burris (84-93) tied for 67th at 177. Burris had a birdie on hole 12 and Warner showed consistency with a team-high eight pars in the second round.
Jayden Mitchell concluded play with a score of 186 (88-98).
Claire Hostetler (92-99) and
Kaylyn Henson (96-103) were the final two members of the team at the event with scores of 191 and 199.
Next week, Malone will compete close to home at the Cav Classic hosted by Walsh University. Play begins on Monday, April 14 at the Glenmoor Country Club.
