ALLIANCE, Ohio - The Malone University women's golf team scored a second-place finish at the Mount Union Spring Invitational on Friday. The Pioneers were runners-up to Ashland University and lost by a total of three strokes, 314 to 317.

Malone was led by
Maria Warner, who was fourth overall with a 77. She was 1-over on the back nine with one birdie. In an up-and-down day,
Erin Strouse was sixth after she fired a 79 at Tannenhauf Golf Club. The senior had four birdies on her scorecard.

Kaylyn Henson was one back of Strouse with an 80 and finished in a tie for seventh. She had three birdies on the day.
Addison Burris was inside the top-10 at 81.
Claire Hostetler finished the round with a 90.

Up next, the Pioneers will compete in the NC4K Classic at Pinnacle Golf Club. The action begins on April 6.
