Pioneers Place Fifth at Klash in Kentucky

PERRY PARK, KY - The Malone University Women's golf team concluded competition on Sunday afternoon at the Klash in Kentucky hosted by Joilet JC in Perry Park, Kentucky. The Women drastically improved on their day one score and moved up to 5th place as they shot twenty-two strokes better between the days, finishing +94. Nationally ranked Pikeville (#21) took home the top prize with a team score of +51. 

Addison Burris was the top finisher for Malone as she placed 18th after firing a +21 over 36-holes. Kaylyn Henson was next for the Pioneers with a 24th place finish and a final score of +24. She was electric on Day Two as she fired the fourth best eighteen holes of any golfer with a +5 round score. Erin Strouse followed suit with a 28th place finish while shooting +28. Claire Hostetler rounded out the scoring with a 33rd place finish while shooting +31. 

The Pioneers are back in action next Monday, April 7th as they compete in the NC4K Classic hosted by Ohio Domincan University in Grove City, OH at the Pinnacle Golf Club. Tee Times to be announced.
