Malone Tied for Sixth at Klash in Kentucky

PERRY PARK, Ky. - The Malone University women's golf team competed on Saturday in the first day of the Klash of Kentucky at Perry Park Golf Resort Country Club. After round one, the Pioneers are tied for sixth with a team score of 346.
 
Freshman Addison Burris led the way for the Pioneers with a score of 72 on 18 holes. This was highlighted by three birdies, two of which came on the front nine. She currently sits tied for 14th in the field.
 
Junior Erin Strouse followed up with a score of 83 and currently sits tied for 16th. Sophomore Abbigail Jones (90) finished her day tied for 34th with a birdie on the front nine. Junior Jayden Mitchell and Freshman Kaylyn Henson both shot a 91 and are tied at 38th overall. Freshman Claire Hostetler had a 96 and sits 46th in the standings.
 
Play resumes on Sunday, March 30 beginning at 9:30 A.M. for day two of the invitational.
