TIGERVILLE, S.C. - The Malone University women's golf team secured a third-place finish at the Cherokee Invitational. The 36-hole event was won by Christian Brothers University by seven strokes over the host North Greenville University.

Erin Strouse was the lone member of the team inside the top-10 with a two-day score of 169 (82-87). She had a pair of birdies in round two, both on par-5 holes.
Claire Hostetler had the best round two score and finished at 172 (89-83). She hit for birdie on the par-3 15th hole.

Maria Warner was one stroke back of her teammate with a 173 (88-85).
Addison Burris and
Kaylyn Henson rounded out the lineup at 178 (88-90) and 193 (90-103).

Malone will get a preview of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Championship course on March 30-31 when the Pioneers participate in the Belterra Classic.
