INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Jaxon Rinkes of the Malone University men's golf team was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Athlete of the Week following his individual medalist honor at the Mount Union Spring Invitational.
 
It is the first time in the 2024-25 season that a Malone men's golfer has been honored by the conference as Athlete of the Week. Rinkes was previously listed as an NCCAA Athlete of the Week during the fall season.
 
The Carrollton, Ohio native led the Pioneers to a second-place team finish at Tannenhauf Golf Course after he completed 36 holes at one-over par. He shot a 72 on Saturday and a 73 on Sunday with a combined six birdies in the event.
 
Up next, Malone heads to the Ashland University Spring Classic on March 29-30 at the Ashland Golf Club.
