Men Eighth, Women Ninth at Conference Championship Meet

CANTON, Ohio – The Malone University swimming and diving programs wrapped up the 2024-25 season with the final day of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC)/Mountain East Conference (MEC) Championships on Saturday. The Pioneer men finished eighth and women ninth as the University of Findlay cruised to the team title in both the men's and women's standings.
 
Sydney Fleming was able to break the school record in the 200-yard backstroke prelims with a time of 2:09.60. She would finish sixth in the A-final at 2:09.77. In the men's 200-yard backstroke, Lincoln Rickleff was 19th (2:06.85) and Brady Porter was 24th (2:17.56).
 
Seth McMillen was able to secure the B-finals win to secure 9th in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:12.63. Molly Maloy competed in the C-finals of the 200-yard breaststroke and finished 23rd (2:44.58). Elisha Thompkins wrapped up C-finalists with the 22nd-place spot in the 100-yard freestyle (48.65 seconds).
 
The team of Danielle Ketler, Lauryn Ebersole, Maloy and Fleming concluded the event with a 3:47.69 in the 4x400-yard freestyle relay (seventh). In the men's version of the event, Dylan Yoder, Carter Anderson, Thompkins and McMillen claimed eighth with a time of 3:20.88.
