LYNCHBURG, Va. – A few members of the Malone University track & field team were in action on Friday evening at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational.
 
Zach Bugner and Chase Balko each competed in the 3000-meter open event and finished 23rd and 39th in a field littered with NCAA Division I competition. Bugner set a new personal record with a time of 8:38.48 and Balko wrapped up the event in 8:46.86.
 
Eric Dehmer was in action as well in the 800-meter open event. He completed the race in 1:58.25, good for 25th overall.
 
Meets at Liberty and the SPIRE Institute continue on Saturday, February 15.
