INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) named Malone University women's soccer student-athlete Brynn Mowrer as the G-MAC Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week. It is her first career Athlete of the Week award.
 
The senior forward from Burbank, Ohio totaled three goals and seven points in a 1-1 week. The Pioneers opened the floodgates on Kentucky Wesleyan College in a 4-0 shutout victory, but lost 3-1 to the nationally-ranked Ashland University Eagles despite getting on the scoreboard first.
 
Mowrer's two goals and one assist for five points against the Panthers marks the tenth multi-goal game for Malone in the program's NCAA DII era. Her five points is tied for the third-most in a single game dating back to 2012. She added a goal on the team's only shot recorded against #15 Ashland for three goals and seven points on the week.
 
The Pioneers are back in action on Thursday, October 9 at Ohio Dominican University beginning at 5:00 P.M. The next home match for Malone is on Saturday, October 11 at 1:00 P.M. versus Walsh University as a part of the 2025 Homecoming and Family Weekend. The Malone University Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will be honored prior to the start of that match on King Field.
