INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the first time in her career, senior forward
Brynn Mowrer has been named a member of the All-Conference Teams in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC). Mowrer was selected to the Second Team All-Conference after a standout season as a primary goal scorer for the Pioneers.
Â
The Burbank, Ohio native played and started in all 18 matches for Malone and matched or set new career-high totals in goals scored (6), points (14), game-winning goals (3) and minutes played (1465). The Pioneers just missed a playoff spot with a 5-9-3 overall record and 4-8-2 mark in league play.
Â
All six of Mowrer's goals came during conference play, a mark that tied her for fourth in the G-MAC. She had game-winning goals against Tiffin University, Kentucky Wesleyan College and Walsh University for a league-high three. Her 13 points during conference play was good for eighth.
Â
Mowrer caught fire around the midpoint in the season and scored at least one goal in four consecutive matches. She found the back of the net twice and recorded an assist to defeat Kentucky Wesleyan 4-0 and then scored at Ashland University, at Ohio Dominican University and at home versus Walsh in the next contests. That stretch allowed Mowrer to be named G-MAC Offensive Athlete of the Week on October 6.
Â
Mowrer ends her playing career with 45 points and 18 goals, good for third and fourth in the program's NCAA Division II era.
