ASHLAND, Ohio – After the first of two rounds at the Eagle Invitational, the Malone University women's golf team sits sixth on the leaderboard with a team score of 338. Glenville State University are atop the team standings at 308.
Freshmen
Addison Burris and
Claire Hostetler led the Pioneers with scores of 81 and 82. The duo are tied for 15th and 17th overall. Burris was very consistent with nothing higher than a bogey, while Hostetler recorded a pair of birdies on Monday.
Erin Strouse scored an 84 for the day featuring one birdie on hole two.
Maria Warner (91),
Jayden Mitchell (93) and
Savanna Porter (98) were the other members of the Malone A-team. Mitchell's card had two birdies on it.
Kaylyn Henson and
Abbigail Jones had top scores among the other Pioneers in the field. Henson fired a 90 and Jones a 91.
