Pioneers Hold Firm After Day Two of Malone Invitational

CANTON, Ohio -- The Malone University Swimming & Diving teams continued competition at the Malone Invitational on Friday evening. After two days, the Pioneers remained eighth in the women's standings and tenth on the men's side. 

The women continued to show strong performances in the relays as the quartet of Sydney Fleming, Lauryn Ebersole, Molly Maloy, and Danielle Ketler brought home fifth in the 200 yard medley relay. Ketler made B final in the 200 yard freestyle and finished fourteenth with a time of 2:01.02. Fleming continued her dominance when she finished fourth in the 400 yard IM after she swam a time of 4:50.70. Allea Graves finished fourth in the women's 1 meter diving with a final score of 281.35.

For the men, Elisha Thompkins finished eighth in the 200 yard freestyle with an impressive final time of 1:49.99. He also finished top-12 in the 100 yard fly with a time of 53.62. Seth McMillen finished top-12 in the 100 yard breat stroke, finishing with a 59.67 time. Lincoln Rickleff finished thirteenth in the 400 yard IM with a swim of 4:42.58.

Competition wraps up on Saturday with prelims slated for a 10:00 A.M. start time at the C.T. Branin Natatorium.
