Madison Woodward has been chosen as a CSC Academic All-District honoree.
In order to be eligible, a student must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average or higher and at least a sophomore academically. On top of academic achievements, the CSC also has athletic nomination criteria for participation and success in a given sport.
Woodward, a senior from Columbia City, Indiana, helped lead a defense that was a part of five shutouts on the year. The Pioneers had an 8-7-1 overall record, and their .528 winning percentage is the best mark since 2009.
She started in all 18 games played and had a team-high 1,613 minutes played. Her first career goal was a game-winner against Lake Erie College and she recorded an assist against D'Youville University while being the team's lead defender.
