– The Malone University Women's Golf team concluded play in the Michael Corbett Fall Classic on Tuesday afternoon. The Pioneers finished fourth in the field with a team score of 692 (342, 350). The host, Gannon University, finished atop the leader board with a team score of 623 (308, 315).
Sophomore
Maria Warner led Malone with a T-13th finish as she fired rounds of 82 and 86 for a total score of 168. Freshman
Addison Burris followed suit with a T-15th finish and a total score of 169 (81 and 88). Junior
Erin Strouse was the biggest mover from Day 1 for the Pioneers as she jumped up six spots to finish T-18th with a final score of 171 (88 and 83). Her day was highlighted with a pair of birdies on the front nine. Junior
Jayden Mitchell rounded out the scoring for the Pioneers with a score of 185 (91 and 95). Freshman
Claire Hostetler posted a two day score of 186 (93 and 93).
Malone now shifts their focus to the NCCAA Women's Golf Championship in Palm Coast, FL. The event will take place from October 21st - 23rd.
