TIFFIN, Ohio – In the third and final round from the Kyle Ryman Memorial hosted by Tiffin University and the Mohawk Golf Course, the Malone University men's golf program secured a tenth-place finish as a team at 926. The University of Findlay were the team champions after shooting even par as a team in the final round.
Zehnder Gibson was the low scorer for the Pioneers in the tournament with a six-over 222 (73-75-74), good for 16th overall. The senior began the day with birdies on holes 10 and 11 and notched two more on the front nine. He and sophomore
Jaxon Rinkes tied for the lowest scores in round three for the team. Rinkes finished at 233 (79-80-74) with three birdies and finished his round with seven consecutive pars.
Between them in scoring for the event was freshman
Ryan Yoder. Yoder tallied a 230 (81-73-76) and had a team-high 15 pars in his final round. Freshman
Dylan Maninga secured a score of 242 (80-80-82) in the tournament with a birdie on the 11th hole. Freshman
Carter Miller had his day highlighted by an eagle on the par-4 17th hole en route to a 245 (83-81-81).
Next week, Malone travels to Findlay to compete in the Doc Spragg Fall Invite. Tee time begins on Monday, October 14.
