Fairview, Pa.
– The Malone University Women's Golf team competed in the Michael Corbett Fall Classic on Monday afternoon and after round one, the Pioneers are fourth in the field with a team score of 342. The host, Gannon University, are atop the leader board with a team score of 308.
Freshman
Addison Burris led the way with an opening score of 81 which was highlighted by three birdies on the back nine. She currently sits T-12th in the field.
Sophomore
Maria Warner (82) and junior
Erin Strouse (88) followed suit with strong rounds as they sit T-14th and 24th respectively. Each golfer tallied a birdie on the front nine.
Junior
Jayden Mitchell recorded a 91 and freshman
Claire Hostetler a 93 to round out the team scoring.
Junior
Savanna Porter competed individually and fired an opening 110.
